Mission Statement:
The Human Resources department is dedicated to providing the highest quality internal and external customer service by focusing on the Town’s most valuable resource, its people.

While supporting the values, goals and challenges of the Town of Middletown, the Human Resources department strives to provide services which promote a stable work environment characterized by the fair treatment of all staff, open communications, personal accountability, trust and mutual respect.

To do this we:

• Provide for the recruitment, development, recognition and retention of employees.
• Work to promote teamwork, quality in daily operations, professionalism, and respect for the value of diversity.
• Inspire a high level of morale through effective communication and delivery of timely feedback.
• Establish, administer and effectively communicate sound policies, rules and practices that treat employees with dignity and equality, while maintaining compliance with labor laws, town ordinances, and union contracts.
• Provide the resources needed to administer benefits and policies and procedures of the Town.
• Invest in the employees of the Town of Middletown in order to promote an environment of involvement, commitment and empowerment.
