Delivery
Three carts will be delivered starting October 24th. If you don’t have a cart delivered by October 30th, please call 401 842-6519.

What size are the carts?
The new carts are 64 gallons with attached lid, large wheels and are surprisingly easy to roll, they measure 26 ⅜” deep X 25 ¼” wide X 42 ⅛” high.

Why the 64 gallon carts?
Part of the reason the Council voted on the larger carts is because they can withstand winds up to 42 miles per hour and are harder to knock over by animals. These characteristics will help keep neighborhoods and streets clear of blowing trash.

Care and use of your carts:
- Always keep the lid closed to keep rain, snow and animals out.
- Do not place any unacceptable materials in the cart.
- Use the handle provided to move the cart. Tilt the cart on its wheels to roll it.
Remember that it’s easier to pull the cart uphill and push it downhill.
- Remove your cart as soon as possible after collection to maintain the appearance of your neighborhood.
- Clean your carts periodically by rinsing them with water and letting them dry in the sun with the lid open.
- If you have a problem with your cart (broken wheel or lid etc.) contact the town at 401-842-6519.

What goes in each cart?
Gray - trash in official Town bags only
Green - mixed paper recycling
Blue - mixed plastic, glass, aluminum and metal recycling
