Drop Off Area Behind the DPW


Used Oil:
A container for used motor oil is located behind the Department of Public Works office, there is also a receptacle for used oil filters as well. After depositing your oil please do not leave the containers used to transport the oil. These containers should be brought home and placed in with your household trash.

E-Waste Drop:
A container for old electronics (“e-waste”) is located behind the Department of Public Works office, 19 Berkley Ave (Behind the Police Department and Fire Department).
Here is a list of what is accepted:
working or non-working laptops, computers, CPU boxes, all computer parts and accessories, keyboards, mice, speakers, video games and systems, camera/video/audio equipment, fax/copy machines, printers, wires, plugs, drives, cards, servers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.

TV's & Computer Monitors:
There is a separate container for TV’s and computer monitors

Waste Vegetable Cooking Oil
:
There is a blue 55-gallon barrel for your waste vegetable cooking oil. This is collected and recycled by Newport Bio-Diesel.

Cardboard:
A dumpster for broken down cardboard is available for over sized boxes or folks on the move.

Scrap Metal
:
A large dumpster is available for residents to drop off scrap metal not accepted in their recycling bins.
Examples of scrap metal: lawn mower, metal lawn furniture, ironing board, etc.

19 Berkley Ave (Behind the Fire Department).
Monday through Friday  7:00am - 3:30pm
