Fire Department

On June 28th 2011 four new probationary firefighters were sworn in by Middletown Town Clerk Wendy Marshall. They then began an intensive training academy that helped to prepare them for the challenges of being a Middletown Firefighter.  On September 25th all four graduated from this academy during a ceremony held at the Middletown FOP.

Middletown Fire is currently waiting for a new Emergency One Ladder to replace Ladder 39 which has been in service for more than 22 years. The new Ladder is due to arrive in June of 2012. Santa Clause made visits to all of Middletown neighborhoods with the help of many Middletown Firefighters who volunteered their time to escort him through town on nine different nights this year.
