Daylight Saving Time = Changing Smoke Detector Batteries Time! Once again it’s time to “Spring Forward” - this Sunday we all need to adjust our clocks ahead one hour for daylight savings time. While it is important to show up for work on time Monday, it’s just as important to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. We at the Middletown Fire Department want to remind you to change your batteries when you change your clocks. Replacing a few batteries twice a year is an inexpensive way to protect yourself or your family. Please remember to take the time to change your batteries and test your smoke detectors. If you can’t change them yourself, you can call the fire department at 846-1031, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for assistance.
