The Middletown Police Department is a full-service accredited police agency, which provides professional law enforcement services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is divided into two major divisions, an Operations Division and the Administrative and Investigations Division. The Operations Division is commanded by a Captain and provides patrol coverage through the use of three shifts. Each of the shifts are supervised by a Lieutenant and a Sergeant. All patrol shifts work 8-hours shifts and provide police coverage for three main patrol districts.
