Wellness Walk Challenge

How to register:

Open mapmywalk app

  1. Open the menu (Apple: click on three dots at bottom; Android: click on three bars at top)
  2. Click ‘Friends’
  3. Click ‘Add’ button or ‘Find Friends’ button
  4. Type in the name of the challenge you’d like to join (eg: GaudetLAWalk)
  5. Click ‘Add’ button to add friend

How to join the Wellness Walk Challenge:

  1. If you receive a notification, click on it and click the ‘Join Challenge’ button
  2. If you don’t receive a notification within 24 hours:
    1. Click ‘Trophy Icon’ on the bottom
    2. Open ‘My Challenges’ tab
    3. Click ‘Wellness Walk Challenge’
    4. Click ‘Join the Challenge’

How to track your workout:

  1. Open mapmywalk app
    1. Click on the ‘Timer Icon’ on the bottom to bring up the map
    2. Choose your activity at the top (eg: walk, power walk, dog walk)
    3. Click ‘Start Workout’ button when you’re ready to begin
    4. Click ‘Pause’ button when you’re done
    5. Click ‘Hold to Finish’ button to end workout
    6. Click ‘Save Workout’ button
  2. To log an untracked workout
    1. Open the menu
    2. Click ‘Log a workout’ button
    3. Type in the details
    4. Click ‘Save’ button at the top

All workouts completed from March 1st – 31st will automatically be tracked in the Challenge.
